Thursday

You'll Miss My Presence When I'm Gone

I'm on papers now, so it's only a matter of time before Uncle Sam has me in Texas for 8 weeks. I took the practice test yesterday and missed 6 out of the 65 questions, so yeah I'm intelligent. Next for me is the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) & MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station). These should happen over the next 2 weeks, so I'll be in Cola next week for my physical exam.

Good thing is, my cousin should be punching out the same time as me. I didn't even talk to him about it, we got recruited by the same person and she told me we might be able to drop in together. That would be good if it went down like that, but if not I won't sweat it. Family is all you got at the end of the day.

Me & Logic dropped our Math class Wednesday before our GPA's took an L, so it's just English now. Summer is looking open right now in the best of ways.

Been feeling Air Max 95's lately, I think I'll steer my collection that way for while. Oh and due to Spring, Camo Cargos x Tees x New Eras are in full effect.

Post Number 37

...The number I wear for football my junior and senior year of high school after I switched it up from 21 my sophomore year. Both numbers were worn by my favorite football player of all time Deion Sanders, and as a kick returner I felt it was just that I stuck with those numbers.

I saw Summer yesterday (my best friend, forever) for the first time in almost 2 years. I missed you summer :)

& my boy Rell bout to leave for basic training, Air Force in Texas and all. Like damn I known man since 6th grade. It's all good though I should be on that same plank within the next 6 months.

Also, I got tired of my brother's dog looking at me from the back porch and decided to entertain him, he brought me the ball so I knew what I had to do:

"Come Back Home"

...is one of my favorite tracks on Dom Kennedy's "25th Hour" .

& Atlanta was a complete success, well 85% success in my opinion. Only because time played a huge factor in how much we (Logic, Nodnarb & I) were able to accomplish. I myself didn't even finish writing my verse upon recording it, but since it wasn't a B-Grade studio it still sounded good without that last line I've always had. (I always write 16 lines, 8 groups of 2). The producers liked our sound and the direction we're coming from, and they'd like to work with us again.

So, with that being said..We're gonna write multiple verses to the instrumentals we were given upon leaving and come back on top of ours next time. Thanks go out to LV, Rocky, K Eastwood, Maestro & Ty. <--(Hope I spelled your names right)

There will be more pictures next time we go to Atlanta, but as I said the trip was time consumed by business (which wasn't a bad thing), it just left little time for leisure. The main thing is that we accomplished what we went there for, and then some.

I'd like to end this post by saying, leave your city from time to time. Don't limit yourself to where you reside at, there is more out there to see than you know. Pictures don't do any place justice, but you would never know that unless you see it for yourself in person.

Late Registration, Track 19.

Which is "Gone" . As I will be for the weekend, I'm off to Atlanta to get some studio time in at one of Universal Records' spots. Pictures? Maybe. I'm not venturing for vacation.

I'm Like..What?

Im at home, lampin as usual..playing xbox360 & what not. Text message alert tone, open it..it's from Kaylee. Contents of the message are "That light skin dude that be with Troy is in the mall". Me being ignorant (mind you I'm listening to Waka Flocka Flame of the So Icey Boys) I say: "I don't care." and pass it off and go back to gaming with my younger half.

So today I'm on the phone with kb, she she's like this dude sweatin' over me because her myspace mood is "happy" askin her if I make her happy and all kinds of bs questions. I remember everything she said but I aint gettin into all that. So I laugh cause it's been old, but now I'm laughing again because I just realized when you're at your apex, the only people who talk about you are the ones who are beneath you.

So light skinned boy, you know who are. Take your focus of my page and get on yours my nigga, and you ain't my nigga I'm just presenting you with that title because I known your cousin since I was 5. Never had a problem with Josh, so don't come at me like that.

This semester is coming to an end, but dig..I'll be taking phlebotomist classes over the summer (phlebotomists, for those who don't know, are medical workers who draw blood from patients).

I'm dropping my math class because that's not my steez, and I'll take English 101 this summer.

Someone called me annoying today too, lol. It's all good though.

After a much non-needed delay I finally went to the Air Force Recruiter's Office today, talked to the Tech Sargeant and asked the questions I wanted to, got some information, pamphlets. etc. and she said she would call me and schedule an appointment with me to come back and take some tests.

So that's in the works. If all goes as planned I should be Gone Till November, leaving in September..hopefully.

I also looked for another job today and had my driving record pulled at the DMV for like the 5th time.

But that was today and then some..

But today, Wednesday. I went to school (late) for the first time. I slept through the alarm. Got out at 10 as usual & we (the squad) met with a music producer named LV, little did I know dude worked with Ryan Leslie. None of which would've been possible if it wasn't for Rocky since he's her boyfriend. He's well connected in Atlanta and did some work for Drake on his "So Far Gone" Mixtape. So hopefully we can concrete some details with him and get something solidified. LV, much appreciated you taking the time to sit down with the squad.
